Progress
Captain’s log: Star Date, uh, well, you can figure that out. A bit more progress to report. The following sections are now jk.com v5 compliant: about, calendar, and statement. For those of you who have never read the statement section, it may come as a shock. Be forewarned. In addition to the details provided in statement, refer to the April 2002 archive for the posting that pretty much tells it all.
You may notice a lot of my previously graphic heavy pages are slowly being replaced by a cleaner, and maybe more boring, jk.com v5 look and feel. But worry not! As I move everything over to the new version I’m eliminating a lot of the superfluous junk for sake of time. As time permits I’ll be streamlining graphics and multimedia content to facilitate page load time for those of you still in the stone age with 56k modems. My target goal is a 30 second max load time. It’s a goal that’s well within my reach with CSS. Feel free to shiver with anticipation. The calendar is all new as well. It’s now contained within the comforting walls of jk.com v5 so you never have to leave! Also, as a registered viewer of my calendar (which takes scant seconds), you’ll be allowed to view all events and even add your own. How can you beat a deal like that? I’m basically giving you free reign to add events like “Wash mouth out with soap,” “Change underwear prior to lengthy road trip,” and “Eat less ice cream, you swine.” These are merely suggestions, mind you so you’re not limited in anyway to what you write. It’s just my small way of providing you with more interactivity. Remember when I promised that about 47 years ago? Well, here it is!
I know what you’re thinking. “But Jayme, you given me so much here at jk.com v5. How could this possibly get better?” Well, I’ve decided to give you even more privileged insight to my life by including a few extra up to the minute details when I publish each journal entry. Just check out the bottom of this entry for the dirt.
As always, I’m having issues with my photo galleries layouts. Indecision is an awful thing. I’m not gonna make promises because I just don’t know when they’ll be revamped too. Stay close to home ad you won’t miss out.
Echo six kilo out.
