Recovery ops
I’d like to be a man who rights for a purpose. I don’t want to write for other people. I don’t want it as a job. But how do I write for a purpose and not turn into one of those artsy-fartsy liberal scum bags that I see hanging around poetry readings and coffee houses? I want to be the tough guy, the man’s man, who can write about pressure point control techniques and killing blows, then flip the page and write something equally interesting about an oak leaf I saw floating down a storm drain. Is that too much to ask?
I’ve obviously got a ways to go.
Post script: The SAI went very well. Homework is still as time consuming as ever. I feel good.
