Oops
Holy damn dog balls…
Last night I decided to wipe the hard drive of my brand new Dell laptop in order to rid myself of bloat ware. Only too late did I find the included drivers CD was for the wrong model of laptop. Dell is sending me the right one, in three to five working days.
This left me without internet access overnight, since I couldn’t even install the drivers for my wireless card nor Ethernet adapter to download the correct drivers manually. I then stopped by the barracks this afternoon, downloaded the driver I needed for wireless internet, and was up and running in no time.
The real problem didn’t occur until just a bit ago. About 1:22 am. I accidentally ran my backup software in “backup” and not “restore” mode, and my 100 GB external drive (the one with every digital everything I possess) was wiped clean. I won’t get into the gory details, but I’m sick to my stomach right now.
Thus commenced the most frantic of Google searches for undelete software. I found a nice little freebie, Undelete Plus, and I’m praying it be my digital salvation.
I’m gonna hit the rack and let the program work its magic.
This f**king sucks.
